Why did I start JHW Lab?
Studying abroad, I realized that true language goes far beyond textbook grammar. Without understanding the culture behind it, words lack true heart and genuine emotion. Language is a bridge that carries the soul of a culture across barriers, yet it is so hard to find spaces where one can easily and enjoyably learn living, everyday culture—especially for free.

Drawing from my own experiences abroad, I created JHW Lab to provide a place where anyone can easily and joyfully learn about Korea and its culture. As long as time and opportunity permit, I will keep updating this space with fascinating insights into Korea.

And why did I register as an official business? Because we all know that true learning requires a little bit of skin in the game—a meaningful push and reward to keep us going! Thank you for visiting, and I hope you enjoy your journey here.

외국에서 공부를 하면서 느낀 것은, 진정한 의미의 문화적·언어적 감각이 참 부족하다는 점이었습니다. 문법적으로 맞는 언어라도 그 나라의 문화를 제대로 모르면 말에 진심을 담기 어렵습니다. 언어는 문화의 장벽을 넘어 감정의 표현이 고스란히 담겨야 하는 다리입니다만, 대중문화 속의 살아있는 언어 감각을 쉽고 즐겁게 배울 수 있는 곳을 찾기란 정말 어렵습니다.

그래서 저의 이러한 경험을 바탕으로, JHW Lab을 통해 누구나 쉽고 재미있게 한국의 문화를 접할 수 있는 공간을 만들고자 하였습니다. 시간과 기회가 허락하는 한, 흥미로운 한국의 이야기들을 계속해서 채워나갈 예정입니다.
